TwoSeven alternatives: six honest options, compared
Updated 5 November 2026.
The best TwoSeven alternative depends on what you want to change: Herae if you want to stay on the streaming site with a free video call beside the film, Teleparty if text chat on the big services is enough, Rave if you watch on Android, and Watch2Gether if you want nothing to install. We make Herae, so read this knowing that. TwoSeven is still the better pick for some groups, and we say when.
Quick answer: which one fits you
- You want to see each other, on almost any site: Herae (ours; the video call is on the free plan, Chrome on a computer only).
- Netflix, Disney+ or Prime with text chat is enough: Teleparty.
- You watch on Android phones: Rave (its own app; free with ads).
- Mostly YouTube or other open video sites, nothing to install: Watch2Gether (browser rooms, no account).
- One person drives and everyone else just watches: Hyperbeam (a shared browser streamed to everyone).
- Screen sharing on Discord: only for sites without copy protection; Netflix, Prime and Disney+ show a black screen.
Details and sources for each are in the comparison below.
Why you might look for a TwoSeven alternative
TwoSeven's own pages point to four limits. Herae only helps with the first three:
- Hulu and Disney+ need a supporter. Watching them on TwoSeven is a patron-only feature, though one Patreon or Ko-Fi supporter in the room covers everyone.
- The film plays inside a TwoSeven room. The room embeds the service. For other sites, the extension has to detect a video in a format TwoSeven supports. TwoSeven's FAQ also lists a one-time setup for logging in to Netflix, Hulu or Disney+ on Chrome.
- You log in first. TwoSeven's instructions start with logging in to the extension. With Herae, your partner can join from your link without signing up.
- Phones and iPads. TwoSeven says most features won't work there, with Firefox on Android as the exception. Herae won't fix this: it syncs video only in Chrome on a computer. Rave is the one to look at.

What is a good TwoSeven alternative?
It depends on what you want to change. If you want to stay on the streaming site with a free video call beside the film, Herae works on almost any site with a video player in Chrome. If text chat on the big services is enough, Teleparty fits. If you need Android phones, Rave does that, and Herae doesn't.
Is TwoSeven free?
It is free to start. Hulu and Disney+ are patron-only features, and per TwoSeven's FAQ they work for everyone in a room as long as one participant is a Patreon or Ko-Fi supporter.
Does TwoSeven work on iPhone or iPad?
Not for most features, according to TwoSeven's FAQ: it needs a browser extension, and handheld browsers don't install extensions, with Firefox on Android as the exception. Herae has the same limit for video: it syncs only in Chrome on a computer.
Do both people need their own subscription?
On both TwoSeven and Herae, you each need your own way to watch the video. Neither one streams the film to the other person, so titles also have to be available in each person's country.
Does Herae work on Firefox?
No. Herae runs in Chrome on a computer. If you need Firefox, TwoSeven or Watch2Gether are better fits.
